This appartment is in the middle of one of the nicest areas in Amsterdam: De Pijp.
This area is well known because of its nice galeries, small restaurants and the famous Albert Cuyp market. The Rijksmuseum/Van Gogh museum and the Concertgebouw are a 5 minute-walk from here.
It's a lovely, large apartment with authentic features. It's a 100m2 and we have a very nice roofterrace of 24m2, which is quite something special in the center of Amsterdam. In summertime the sun shines on it the whole day. We have a nice hammock for two. We also have a barbecue.
We have a big screen tv, dvd-player, internet and a modern kitchen with all gadgets you need.
Feel free to use our old-fashioned dutch bicycles, it's quite an adventure getting to know the city by bike....but if you don't want to cycle, there's a tramstop near our house. Of course we can make arrangements if you want to use our car.
!!!!!WE ALSO HAVE A BOAT! AND IF YOU LIKE WE CAN ARRANGE A NICE, PRIVATE CANALTRIP WITH AN EXPERIENCED, ENGLISH SPEAKING CAPTAIN....YOU CAN HAVE DINNER WHILE CRUISING THROUGH THE CANALS AND SEEING ALL THE PRETTY SIGHTS OF THE OLD CENTER (ANNE FRANK HOUSE, RED LIGHT DISTRICT AND LOTS OF MUSEUMS, OLD BUILDINGS, HOUSEBOATS AND SO ON, AND SO ON!!!!!)
All the shops you need, are one minute away.
We have one big bedroom with a kingsize bed for two and a little bedroom with a single bed.
We love living here and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
About ourselves... We are a young couple. Suzanne (33) and Pepijn (34). We have a small baby-son, Kees. We both work for television. We like traveling and think this is a really nice way to visit a country/city. We are non-smokers, but we don't mind you smoking in our house.

The great thing of this apartment is that it is in the middle of the nicest area of Amsterdam: De Pijp.
This area is well known because of its nice galeries, small restaurants and the famous Albert Cuyp market.
The Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and het Stedelijk Museum (modern art)are really a 5 minute-walk from here. These three museums are the most important museums of the Netherlands.
De Pijp is also called the "quartier latin" of Amsterdam, referring to a very hip area in Paris. So there are lots and lots of restaurants, clubs and bars at walking distance.
There's a small parc in our street: the Sarphatiparc. But the famous Vondelpark is a 10 minute walk or a 5 minute bicycle ride from our place. And the big Amsterdam forest (het Amsterdamse Bos) is only 15 minutes by bicycle.
We love Amsterdam because it has so much to offer; history, art, clubbing, theater, nice food, and most of all an openminded spirit.

We both studied at the university of Amsterdam. Suzanne has a degree in journalism, Pepijn in economics. We have lived in this apartment for four years and in Amsterdam for over twelve years.
We like traveling and think this is a really nice way to visit a country/city.
We are non-smokers, but we don't mind you smoking in our house.
We have a very fat cat, that will not give you any trouble at all.
Her name is Bubba and she's quite lazy and very relaxed. She doesn't smell and is nice with kids and people in general. If you absolutely don't want to take care of the cat, we can leave Bubba at one of our relatives....
