A Nossa Casa
We fully remodeled our home in March 2007, complete with a large gourmet kitchen. We are located on a 90 acre lake that opens to the ocean and have a stunningly beautiful view of the Koolau Mountain range. We have kayaks, boogie boards, snorkel gear and bikes available for use. We also have a pool, hottub, and pool table. Our home is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and is perfect for families or friends wanting a warm, sunny vacation. We have an outdoor grill and dining area where we eat most of our meals. Our family room has a home theater system. Wireless internet throughout. The upstairs has the master suite (1 California King Sleep Number bed plus chaise lounge) and a kids room (new Queen size Bed). The downstairs bedroom also has a queen size bed. We also have a twin size day bed on the lanai.
O Nosso Bairro
Kailua is on the widward side of the island of Oahu, a 30 minute drive from Honolulu Airport and Waikiki. Lanikai and Kailua beach (less than a mile away) are known for their incredibly soft white sand, crystal blue waters and snorkeling. We often see turtles swimming just off shore. The Mokulua islands are a 30 minute kayak paddle away. Our home is at the end of a cul-de-sac with lots of privacy. We are biking distance to Whole Foods, Starbucks, and many little boutiques. Kailua is known for its restuarants, farmers markets, Sunday art walks, bike paths and friendly atmoshpere.

We are a family of four. Doug grew up in Kailua, and we have made Kailua our home for the past 25 years. Doug is a chiropractor and Joni an acupuncturist. We have two boys, the oldest is in college and the other is 15. We are outdoor people who love to hike, kayak, ski (when on the mainland!), play tennis and volleyball. We have a 8 year old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) who will be boarded during your stay. We also have two loving indoor/outdoor cats. Joni's parents and brother also live in Kailua, so a warm welcome is easy to arrange. Our home is very well maintained, and we would treat your home with the same respect and care. We have a cleaning service for before and after your stay.
