Nice and sunny 13-year old flat in the historical center of Madrid (Madrid de los Austrias). Sixth floor with lift. Two balconies overlooking a park with poplars beside Vistillas Park. It has 80 m2 and a 16 m2 mezzanine. We have one bedroom, two bathrooms, two studios, kitchen and living room. Air conditioning, natural gas heating, wifi, TV, stereo, bicycles.

The neighborhood has many parks and trees. The flat is in Vistillas Gardens, near the parque de Atenas, jardines del Campo del Moro (http://tinyurl.com/3eec267) and Manzanares riverside park with 7 km cycle lane. 7 minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor (http://tinyurl.com/3nlnqjn), Royal Palace, Opera House and Plaza de Oriente (http://tinyurl.com/3eqltdx), Plaza de España (http://tinyurl.com/3j2fgwj), Madrid de los Austrias (XVI century, http://tinyurl.com/69jxd74), the district of La Latina, Puerta del Sol, Lavapies (http://tinyurl.com/6q6s39w), El Rastro (http://tinyurl.com/6ovww89), San Miguel market (delicatessen, http://tinyurl.com/3sxmcer). At two minute walk there are three bus lines (50, 36, 65) and at a ten minutes walk, 4 metro stations (Principe Pío, Opera, Latina, Sol). You can go strolling to one of the best tapas area in the city, La Latina quarters (http://tinyurl.com/623suj2), and one of the liveliest quarters by night, Huertas. Dozens of original version cinemas and theaters at similar walking distance. Close interesting cities are Toledo, Segovia, Aranjuez and El Escorial, to cite just a few. Madrid is connected, by a very convenient high-speed train (AVE) which leaves from the city center, with Toledo (35´), Segovia (35´), Cuenca (51´), Cordoba (1h 42´), Sevilla (2h 30') , Barcelona (2h 45´), Zaragoza (1h 20´) Valencia (1h 30´) and Málaga (2h 30´).

Our favourite destinations are just indicative. We are open to other destinations. We dont mind pets in our house as long as they are well house trained.

We are a 48 year old couple, both biologists. He works as a journalist (rtve.es, Quo...) and as a university professor of journalism. She is a PhD in Molecular Biology and works as a researcher at the CSIC. We love the countryside, cycling, traveling and diving in the tropics. We have done great exchanges with Amsterdam, Acapulco, Playa del Carmen and Mojácar.
