Our appartment (120 m2) is an elegant, comfortable living in a 18th century building with a patio. It's located in La Latina, the old historical heart of Madrid. Living-room with two balconies oriented to south. Lots of naturel light. 3 rooms: One master bedroom with double bed (150 x 200) and 'open' access to badroom with bathtub. 1 bedroom (kids) where we can put 1 (even 2) extra beds. 1 office/ extra room. 1 Bathroom with toilet and shower. Fully equipped kitchen. Central heating. We're on the third floor. No elevator. WIFI Internet connection. For kids: Lots of toys, books, bike, videos and X-box Kinect

Go walking to all the mayor highlights or take Metro at 120 m, also several busses around the corner

Our apartment is in La Latina, right in the centre of the old Madrid. From here everything's within walking distance. Take a stroll through old Madrid. Historic highlights as Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, etc. are 5 minutes walk. Keep walking and within 15-20 min you´ll get to the Royal Opera, Royal Palace or the famous Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofía Museums. Or go to Retiro park, cinemas, theaters, shops, restaurants, live music, etc.

If you like gastronomy and wine-tasting, we´re 3min. walk to famous Cava Baja, where the best restaurants of Madrid, mesones are located. There must be at least some 30-40 restaurants and tapas-bars, some offer live flamenco music.

Like dancing in the street? In summer, especially days before15th of August there's the Fiestas de la Paloma. This feast is celebrated in the streets, also our street.

Every sunday you can go, just across our street, to the famous Rastro, the flee- and antiques-market. Afterwards, stick around and go to a terrace or a tapas bar, the neighboorhood becomes even more lively.

Like to see more from Spain than only Madrid? Than make a day trip to beautiful historical towns like: Toledo, Segovia, Avila, El Escorial, Aranjuez (less than 70 kms away), either by train, bus, or car. Did you know you can even ski in the mountains close to Madrid (40 kms)
Or go just a little further to Salamanca, Cuenca (within 200 kms)

If you're looking for a longer stay, Madrid is located in the center of Spain, so you can visit all interesting Spanish cities, by car, train, or plane. Just as an example take the high speed train to Cordoba, Seville. It's just 2-2,5 hours away...

We're small family. 20 years ago, Jan (46) from The Netherlands met Elvira (44) during his Erasmus' scholarship-exchange in Spain. Jan is an sales representant of design furniture companies and Elvira is a farmacist working at multinational farmaceutical company. Ben is a nice 5 years old boy.
